J: So we left Nimbin behind us with some fuzzy memories. We headed to Coffs Harbour as there is a Sky Pier there and as Yuri has a fear of heights this was a good stop. It is a bridge that sticks out from the cliff and overlooks the harbour below, it was beautiful up there and Yuri was really surprising calm up there. We then started the Waterfalls Way drive through the outback. We drove up the mountain and passed waterfalls as we drove, we found one that we looked at from the top and noticed people swimming in, I gave a little encouragement and everyone else was off to get their swimming gear on, I was already wearing mine as I knew this option would pop up. We took the short walk to the bottom and dipped our toes then I regretted putting the idea forward as it was NOT warm. But we all had a refreshing swim into the middle and it was the VDP's first waterfall swim.
S: James is a wuss when it comes to cold things at the moment lol. He really is having a hard time changing over from a hot climate. We continued down the road to Ebor falls, and we explained to the guys how to do the optical illusion trick with the falling waterfall. It was brilliant and worked just the same as before. I was driving round some scary mountain roads and "Tiny" obviously being quite a large sized RV, made for a couple of scary moments for me lol. We knew we wanted to cover quite a few miles today, so we stopped at a random park and cooked tea and then James continued to drive into the night.
J: The girls aren't much good once the sun goes down. Mel went and laid out the back and Sam slept sitting in her seat. Yuri kept me company and I got us to the area we wanted to be, but finding somewhere to stop was difficult. I found a sign for a campsite and went to that at 11pm...... obviously no one was around but I found a spot to park and went to bed.
