J: We then stopped at Kiama down the coast. It was a small little town and was very quaint, almost caught in a time freeze. There was also a Blow Hole which would shoot the sea up in plume of water as the waves hit in through a cave. It was cool to see it happen every couple of minutes. Almost next to the blow hole was a light house which wouldn't normally be interesting enough to note, but this one was so small, it was barely as high as a house!
We then did a long drive to Jarvis, found a camp site for the night. We found the local pub which overlooked the creek and sea. We had burgers which where massive but so tasty we finished them off even though we could have shared one.
S: Yuri had been suffering from his ears since he had landed, and had pulled out some rather large lumps of wax, but they were still playing up. So he visited the doctor in the morning and got some antibiotic drops to help him and Yuri was banned from swimming. We wanted to visit the whitest sand beach in the world called Hymns beach. It was beautiful but you did need your sunglasses to help with the glare. James had a quick dip, whilst we all watched - I was a bit gutted I hadn't put my swimsuit on. Caves beach was next on the agenda; it basically was what the name states. There were a few caves to explore and on the way out of one we saw a black diamond snake, just curled up on one of the rocks basking. The guys are seeing all the native animals. This time Mel and I were prepared and we all had a quick go at jumping the waves whilst Yuri sun baked.
