Well off we headed north to the very tip called Cape Reigna and all they had there was a lighthouse so we drove all the way there for a lighthouse...dont get me started anyway we say that all very nice then we saw a sign for sand surfing and giant sand dunes so we thought we cant give that a miss so we went along and hired a boggie board and the lady asks us "Have you ever done sand surfing before?" What an odd question, i felt like saying well yes i have participated in many sand surfing comps in my time but i kept my mouth closed and we got a "safety briefing", then we ran up the sand dunes(took a while) and had a surf, was really fun i tried to do a standing up one...which was strictly forbidden but oh well and i fell off couldnt do it jono was good at it and we played around doing that for an hour, the sand dunes were massive felt like we were in the dessert dont know where they all came from really but was right by ninety mile beach, Jono also streaked along 90 mile beach!!!! I have a pic to prove it! You may want to avert your eyes to this pic! Not for the faint hearted! The place where we were staying stunk of oldness so didnt really like it but going back to Auckland again to stay with Jonos cousin again for the weekend so happy about that!
