So we arrived in Christchurch on sunday morning and my mobile works hooraahh!!!!!!! costs me 50p a text so wont be texting all the time but nice that it works. Im going to have a little rant now about Air New Zealand, theyre crap both flights we have had with them the food hasnt been great you dont get your own tv you have to watch some rubbish film they chose to put on, the headphones never work properly and both times we have had so much turbulant which i blame on the captain and i havnt liked it so be warned everyone!!!! Anyway we arrived in Christchurch and its just like England but a bit prettier, its very green feel very safe and lots of bars and cafes and shops etc. The first day we spent looking around Cathedral Square which is lovely and we have been ringing loads of people about buying cars etc we had a test drive of one and was ok, was a honda civic bit old looking but was only 500 quid or something then the dozy mare turns round and says she doesnt want to sell it for 2 weeks so no good to us, so we are going to try and buy a car or hire one in the next day or son then we can hot the road and make our way down to Queenstown for xmas which i cant believe is only a week away now eeek!!!! xx

well we hired our car its a white one not sure of the make but looks like an escort is nice really huge boot for all our crap and its an automatic so less to go wrong with it but it has radio and air con and power steering jono is loving it nevr driven such a nice car before, we have it for the whole 7 weeks, we drop it off before we get on the ferry to get over to the north island as its cheaper then pick one up right on the other side, we got all our camping gear got a good tent its for 3 persons and all the mod cons and it was on sale for about 40 quid not bad i got a super duper sleeping bag that keeps you warm in like -7 conditions but that was on sale to, we found a camping shop that was having a 50% off sale so we were in our element, jono bought glow sticks god knows why but he thought it would be fun and we got a little cutlery and plate and cup set for when we try and cook by the campfire!!!The top 10 holiday parks that i think we will be staying in have like swimming pools etc so sounds nice as long as there is a plug socket for me to straighten my hair im a happy bunny! Anyway off to Akorua today to swim with dolphins-wild ones eek!!! Now dont be too worried about me i know i havnt been having great times in the sea but what can go wrong ah!!!! There cant be any trigger fish to bite me as theyre safely in the cook island sand i dont have to throw myself backwards into the sea and breathe underwater so i should be ok fingers crossed everyone!!!! stay tuned to find out!!!
