Santorini

We have just had 2 days in Paros. another lovely island but very quiet. 2 days was enough. Hired a little motorbike to have a look around the island on. Didn't enjoy driving on the other side of the road much. Good job its quiet. Had my first experience of squat loos. INTERESTING. Too quiet here Time to move on.

WOW WOW W

What an amazing place. Houses built into the rock face. The view is hard to put into words. Amazing , Fantastic, just doesn't quite do it. Our hotel is stunning. It feels like you are staying somewhere the rich and famous woulld be. Perched on a cliff face overlooking the medditerian. The sunset here is terrific. People start arriving at what is an old castle. They wait up too 2 hrs or more just to see it. We can sit out on our deck chairs wining and dining to get the same experience. Talk about photo opportunities. My poor little finger is in over load. Haha. Went into the town of Thira today. Caught a cable car down the moutain and travelled up again by donkey. feel sorry for the poor things. Firstly having to carry me and secondly does'nt seem much of a life they have doing that 2 - 3 times a day. Today we went to visit a volcano which is still active. There was one spot you could put your hand too and it was 93 degrees. It last erupted in the 1950s. Quite a climb. Good job we did the Hump track. Well our last night in Santorini. Making the most of the view, wine and beer. Tomorrow on to Athens for one night, then EYGPT. Sand , sand and more sand. This has been a fantastic island and would fully recommend it as a travel destination.
