The day after the sailing lesson we had a bit of a chilled day, went to the shops to top up on food etc. Then in the afternoon, bobs friend Steve took us down to 'alligator creek' where there were no alligators at all! We got to swim with lots turtles which was nice! So after spending two days on magnetic island we came back to townsville in the afternoon. We then went to the yacht club and learnt to sale by a really friendly (incredibly rich) Aussie couple. This is something I've wanted to do for years and really enjoyed it so hoping to carry on learning in the future. We even drank champagne on the boat which was the icing on the cake.

The last few days have been nice and chilled following our adrenaline packed days in mission beach. We have stayed with my friend Iona who's been living and working here for the last 5 months. We had a night on the town which was good to experience some Aussie night life, lots of sunbathing, the market and walked 6km up castle hill whilst watching the sun set overlooking townsville.
