Yesterday afternoon I arrived in the city of Brisbane. I dropped my bags off at the hostel, got upgraded from a 6 bed to a 4 bed... Winner!! And then there were only 3 of us in there so made friends with my two room mates... A girl from Austria and a girl from Holland, both lovely. I then had a wander round town and took in the sights of the first big city I had been in. It felt strange being in a city again, I had got used to massive empty beaches. I had a look around the shops and grabbed a bite to eat and enjoyed wandering around. There is a nice river that runs through the centre and nice architecture on the buildings. But as far as places go this was just a city as far as I was concerned. I'm not really a big city person but have enjoyed visiting here briefly. I Skype'd mum and Sarah that evening which was nice and then headed to bed. The next day is here now and I'm packing my things again ready for my bus to the Gold Coast. I then fly from the Gold Coast to Sydney for 4 days.
