So we've not posted in a few days as we've had no phone signal out in the rain forest north of cairns. We've had lots of laughs over the last couple of days... Mainly at Jenny's expense! She's keeping us entertained. We camped in the jungle for two nights which was fun although scary with the crocodiles / snakes / creepy crawlies all close by! We had the hard decision of being too hot in the van or having the door open and risking the animals... We took the animals lol.
So yesterday we took the challenge of an 8 hour treck through the jungle which was graded 'very steep and difficult, only for above average fitness' and although very hard was great fun! It was so steep at one point we had to climb a rope to get up but was worth it at the top, the view was amazing. We saw 4 snakes which definitely scared the hell out of us! After we went for a cool off in the swimming hole which had a rope swing to jump in and izzy felt the need to do it naked (becoming a bit of a habit for that girl!!).
The next day we did a bit of exploring and a few shorter walks and chilled on one of the beaches. They're so quiet up there, we were the only ones on it. That night we had our travel highlight so far... The two boys who were camping next to us decided to have a shower right next to us giving us a great view to watch (probably on purpose) although they blushed a little after when we went to chat to them and asked how their showers were! We soon made friends and found out they were from London (the first english people we met) so spent the rest of the evening chatting with them. This evening we returned to cairns again and met up with our German friend ila as she was flying to Sydney tomorrow which was nice, we had pizza and a drink by the lagoon whilst watching the lunar eclipse.
Now it's getting late and we have to be up early tomorrow morning for our SKYDIVE!!!! EEEEKKK!!!!! Wish us luck!!
