This morning we went to Hobbiton, the film set of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit!
Now I'm not really a fan of these films but I went along anyway as thought it'd be fun anyway. I'm so glad I did, the film set was so cool! It was set amongst the greenest hills and spectacular scenery. We learnt all about the making of the set; I didn't realise there was so much thought / detail put into it! For example the made a tree because the leaves weren't quite the right shade of green that the producer wanted for that 20 seconds that the tree would be on screen! Or they built some houses small and some big depending on who they were filming (if they wanted to make you look big, they'd build a small house for example). At the end we had a free drink of either hobbiton brewed beer, cider or ginger beer... Yummy!
