We started off today with a nice breakfast then had an hour free time before we did the gold round trip. This involved taking the boat on Lake Lucerne, then the cog railway (the steepest railway) unbelievable views going up Mt Pilatus 7000 feet high. We get up the top and there are lots of walks, we do some walks, have a hot chocolate which I guess takes up about 2 hrs. Then we get in a gondola to come back down. The first gondola is quite big and holds about 20 people then we change about 1/2 way down to a Gondola which holds 4 people. It is all scary but fun, a great day had by all. We have a couple of hours free time then go to Pickwicks (an English pub) for drinks. Meet a German guy called Chris who worked in Australia met his wife (who was a Vietnamese student) and they were both now living in Lucerne. He was very funny and had us in stitches. We went to bed late after too many drinks and costing us a fortune. The beers were $9 a pop and any spirit $14 Maccas was about $12 for a meal. This is in Swiss Francs which are worth more than an Aussie dollar.
