Today we headed off to Arlington Cemetery saw J F Kennedys grave and Jacqui Kennedy's grave. The tomb of the unknown soldier. We watched the changing of the guard. This happens every 1/2 hour and is done with absolute precision it is guarded 24 hrs a day 365 days of the year. We also went to the Marine Corps Memorial which is also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial because of the famous photo it was modelled on. The Americans do it so well. They are so proud of their country. At the end of the tour we took the Metro to the Pentagon. We went to the memorial which was very eerie. No photos are allowed of the Pentagon but you could take pictures of the memorial to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. From there we had a quick lunch at 3.00 ( seems to be our preferred time for lunch). Strolling around in the city. Home for happy hour then a drink at 'Maddys' before beautiful Mexican for dinner.
