Hey,

We have just come back from Niagara Falls today which was really quite something! But the day before we did that we went to the Museum of Natural History which was pretty cool but you had to pay to do lots of extra things so we simply just didn't do them! It was interesting looking at all the weird stuffed animals though!

Yesterday was when we set off for Niagara. We got on the bus in Chinatown and it is most definatly Chinatown! When we got on the bus we were the only non asian people on the bus! There was one Indian guy who we were talking to but the rest of the people were chinese or of chinese origin. This meant that at one point one of the guys wanted to take pictures of us as we were the odd ones out. I think he wanted everyone to know he had met Scottish people though he didn't actually know where Scotland was...it was quite amusing though!

It took us 12 hours to get there. The bus toilet didn't work and this was becuase it would smell of "Human number 2" as our tour guide put it! I have to say it was really annoying listening to english and then chinese all the time through a microphone!

Once we had stopped numerous times we finally got there and it was about 8.30 at night and was dark. We went to see the falls at night which was pretty cool though you couldn't see them that clearly but they did look amazing with all the different coloured lights shining on them. It was also cool to see Canada at night, i just wish we could have gone over! We then went back to the hotel which was lovely. It was actualy quite alot nicer than where we are staying now! In the morning we got up and went back to Niagara Falls which just looked incredible in the day time! They look so powerful! We then had to pay $11 to see an IMAX movie about Niagara Falls which i thought was a huge waste of money but Daniel enjoyed it:) Then it was time to go back on the bus! But as we were approaching the bus Daniel realised that he had left his backpack by the falls! He had walked around for an hour not realising he had left it! And people think i'm the ditzy one! Everyone was already on the bus waiting for us but Daniel sprinted off to find it. It had his passport, phone, mp3 players in it etc. so it was quite a panic! Fortunatly it was just sitting where he left it!

We were supposed to be going to Howe Caverns today with the tour but as the snow was so bad the roads to it were closed which was a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to it:( You would think that becuase we were missing something out we would get more time at the Falls but instead we just arrived home 2 hours early which actually really annoyed me as we only got about 1 hour and 20 mins at the falls. The other thing that was a bit of a shame was that the main horseshoe fall was on the Canadian side which we couldn't go to. But we still saw a huge part of the falls which were just spectacular though so despite all the things we didn't like we still really enjoyed the trip and we are very glad we did it! There was snow everywhere are part of the river was actually frozen so it was some sight!

We arrived tonight and checked back into the hotel and were put in a different room which is awful! It is tiny, the bed is tiny and it smells. I know that we will probably get worse rooms than this in other hotels we are staying in but i know for a fact they have much better rooms as we have stayed in one! So i asked to move to the same floor we were on before but they are all booked up bar one smoking room on another floor so we will make do for tonight and then move in the morning when one becomes available! So i hope it is alot better!
