Decided to catch the train and see some of the scenery on our way to Hoi An. Booked our "first class, superior soft sleeper"......mmm......not quite what we expected!!!! Kathy wanted to turn around and get a plane but we decided that we might as well turn it into an adventure. I got sent to do the shopping along the railway platform.......plenty of beer and mixers to add to our duty free alcohol.....no problems. Get back to our carriage only to realise we have no cups!!! Never fear there is still time before thee train departs to do a quick recce along the shops...glasses...nowhere to be found but being ever resourceful found some sippy cups!!!

All set to go.....a few drinks under the belt and we decide to play "who am I"......well you can imagine how that went. The more we drank the sillier it became but we certainly had fun. A bit of sleep and then morning arrives with a little bit of a hangover.....

We admire the scenery and ,(yes it was beautiful), wonder when our train will arrive in Danang. By now we have realised that all announcements are in Vietnamese and we are the only foreigners on the train!! Our friendly carriage conductor seems to understand our query and assures us he will let us know when to get off so we sit back continuing to admire and view and hope that he really does understand us!!

Sure enough....coming into Danang the conductor comes and gets us...helps with our luggage and we have safely arrived!!!!
