The last couple of days we've tried to stay out of La Ramblas more and see a bit more of the less touristy Barcelona. We went to the beach again, and went for a walk up to see some of goudi's other buildings, and took a cable car up to the top of one of the mountains that looks over Barcelona, this is where there is the old 1992 olympic pool that hangs out over the edge and has a great views of the city. It was pretty surreal swimming in it! And at least it's water we can swim in here unlike the beach!
We saw another person get pick-pocketed before she realized and four guys quickly ran onto the train with coins flying everywhere that we were on, you could tell they were organized, as they just spread out and all walked out at the next stop each out of a different door, walking a short while behind each other. So dodgy! I think we did well to leave Spain with everything!
We went for a hunt on the last night to find some good paella so that Mitch and Erin could try it before they leave. It wasn't as good as Rose's but it was still pretty good. A new favorite food of mine is Potato Bravas, roasted pieces of potato covered in this really nice creamy sauce with a bit of chilli sprinkled on top. Yum!
