Today was an early start as we decided to get out of the busy city centre and head on a tour to the floating markets!!so we left our hotel at 7am, arriving at the floating markets just after 9am.

To get there we had to get on a longtail boat for 20 mins along the canal, which was motorised. In the market we decided to get a boat around the market on the canal to really experience the floating market. There were people in boats selling everything you can think of -fruit, fans that were also hats. They were like stalls in boats, floating in the canal!!!

You could also walk around the part of the market on foot. We loved some pictures and got offered a gd price but decided it wasnt practical to carry them around!!so hopefully when come back thro Thailand can get some!!lol

On way back to the city centre we stopped off at a wooden handcraft shop. They had built a Buddha out of wood, which had taken 6 months!!

We returned to the hotel in the afternoon and chilled out in the air-con.

Today was the first day of our Intrepid trip but it was a free day. In the eve we met up with our group and leader. We went out for some dinner and drinks with a few of the ppl from our group and their friends, before heading to the low awaited bed for some sleep.
