So we arrived in Bangkok just after 4pm and were greeted by the heat (35 degrees celcius). to make life a bit easier we decided to try the local thai driving and get a taxi from the airport right to the doorstep of our hotel!!

After a 40 minute taxi drive, we made it to the hotel in 1 piece. The hotel was v nice with a twin rm, air-con and private bathroom.

Before we got too comfortable we decided to go and get something to eat and try the local cusine. We both opted for spring rolls and pad thai, which cost about 2 pounds each!!

We then had an early night, so we would be ready for the start of sightseeing in Bangkok tomorrow.
