Today was our last day in Bangkok, so we decided to spend it shopping down the famous Kho San Rd, putting our bartering skills to gd use!!We needed to get some clothes that we could wear in the heat in malaysia that covered our shoulders and knees!! Today was an early start as we decided to get out of the busy city centre and head on a tour to the floating markets!!so we left our hotel at 7am, arriving at the floating markets just after 9am. To get there we had to get on a longtail boat for 20 mins along the canal, which was motorised. Today we decided to see the sights of Bangkok. Armed with a map we started to navigate the streets, however, it was much hearder than we thought as the map appeared to be missing half thh streets (always useful) Seeing us struggle, thsi Thai woman stopped us as tried to 'help'. She told us that the m,ain sights, the Grand Palace, and Wat Po were closed until 2pm as it was a big Buddist festival but if we got in a Tuk Tuk (a motorised rickshaw0 it was cost us 10 b...

So we arrived in Bangkok just after 4pm and were greeted by the heat (35 degrees celcius). to make life a bit easier we decided to try the local thai driving and get a taxi from the airport right to the doorstep of our hotel!! Eventually at 6pm we shoved the last few belongings into our bursting rucksacks and made our way to the airport for an eleven hour flight to Bangkok. Luckily the airport business went without a hitch and we arrived in Bangkok at 4pm local time the next day.
