Finally got ourselves car insurance!! What a palava! After completely running out of options (as no one would take an Australian credit card and no head office in England to pay cash) ended up having to ask our new AirBNB landlords if they'd let us pay on their credit card if we reimbursed them. Thankfully they agreed- again so impressed by people's kindness here.
Zac headed off to his first party and had a wonderful time. Zoe happy to relax at home with her toys. Nice to have some "Mummy-Zoe" time (once I finally sorted out the car!). Think all the changes have tuckered her out. Both of them (and perhaps mum and dad!) a bit tired and fragile.
We were all invited for "kids pizza supper" with the landlords- Giles and Rosie and their 3 children aged 11 months, 3 and 5yrs. Had a lovely night over wine and nibbles in their beautiful 200 year old Rectory and gained lots of "must see" tips. Such a nice welcome. Had to laugh though- we thought "kids supper" meant we just ate early but it actually meant ONLY the kids ate. The parents were heading out later for dinner! Poor Adam kept looking hopefully at the oven- waiting for our round of pizzas but to no avail. Lucky he ate Zac's leftovers!
