Happiness Is The Road
It had been a lovely snug and cosy night and we awoke to the gorgeous sound of the ocean. We were heading back to Devonport today and our last night in Tasmania. After brekky we hit the road for the hours drive to Devonport and to complete our full circle journey around Tasmania. We went to Coles and Woolworths in Devonport to get some food and then went to find the camp site, Mersey Bluff Caravan Park. This is a camp site that we noticed and liked the look of on our first day in Tasmania . It is on the River Mersey and you can see the ferries go in and out as it is in an elevated position on the edge of town. It was a nice quirky site but the amenities had seen better days. We settled in and chilled here for the rest of the day. Later on after tea we watched the Spirit of Tasmania ferry on it's way out to Melbourne. We were getting very excited to be going on the ferry tomorrow and getting back to the mainland. It had been hot today but got quite chilly in the evening. There was a beautiful red sky and we both slept well dreaming of our escape!
