Happiness Is The Road
We awoke to open day 16 on our advent calendar. Today we discovered a christmas pair of socks. After brekky we hit the road towards Christchurch, New Zealand's second biggest city and the biggest city on the south island. The road was very winding again making it's way south through more tunnels and around multiple twists and turns. Our journey was accompanied by the usual aggression, dangerous overtaking and bad driving. The Kiwis just point the car, put their foot to the floor and to hell with anyone else. We have been appalled and angered on a daily basis at how these crazy people drive. For hells sake just what is the bloody hurry? A lot of the time it is probably stupidly juvenile, idiotic and micro penised 'blokey blokes' who can't stand being behind someone else and who feel the need to look the hard guy. They're just brain dead, pathetic **** holes. We were really looking forward to reaching Christchurch and not having to drive on anymore winding country roads. It took us about two hours to reach the edge of Christchurch. We headed towards a camp site in the seaside suburb of South Brighton. The camp site was lovely and quirky and set amongst native bush. We got a great secluded spot and chilled out for the rest of the day.
