Happiness Is The Road
We decided to have a chill out day and just mooch around in Takapuna. We had a late brekky and took in the wonderful sea view from the rear of the camper van. All of a sudden Jay shouted out in excitement as she had seen something flipping in and out of the water. We dashed onto the beach to get a better look at the dolphins that were playing just off shore! There were about four of them and although they weren't close up it was a wonderful sight to see. After all the dolphin excitement we went for a walk into Takapuna to find a Vodafone shop. We have had a lot of problems with Vodafone since getting to New Zealand. We bought a prepay mobile broadband router from them that has pricing plans and top up procedures that we have now discovered are complicated beyond belief. In Australia our internet with Telstra was simple to understand and to top up but here it's like a game from The Krypton Factor trying to figure it out! We found the Vodafone shop and fortunately did leave with some understanding of what's been going on. In Australia everything was so easy but in New Zealand it's the complete opposite. It's a case of taking something simple like road signs for example and making them as cryptic and confusing as possible! After Vodafone and with our minds boggling we went for a walk to relax. We had a mooch around the town and along the beach before going back to the camper van and chilling out for the rest of the day. Although the scenery here is undeniably incredible New Zealand generally is massively infuriating.
