Happiness Is The Road
It had been a very cold night and such a difference from the hot and humid nights in Sydney. It had rained a tiny bit at first light but had stopped by the time we got up. The lake looked really serene and mystical this morning. There were lovely ripples on the water and there was a beautiful mist coming off the water. It was a great place to be and we would have stayed another night if we could. Unfortunately as it was Good Friday today they were fully booked right over Easter. After brekky we headed off to Orange. As you may know orange is my favourite colour so I just had to go and visit Orange. I was suitably dressed for the occasion with an orange tshirt, orange thongs (flip flops) and I even had my orange underpants on. Before we knew it we were upon the sign welcoming us to Orange. We tried to get a photo of it but missed, not that it mattered much, as the sign wasn't even in the colour orange. The sign welcoming us to Orange was the colour green. This was most disappointing. I was hoping for a massive luminous orange sign! Orange and the surrounding area is a major fruit growing district. There are no rivers or lakes here and therefore we figured that it wouldn't be packed out with Easter holidaymakers. We were right, it wasn't. We found the camp site fairly easily but didn't come across anything remotely orange on the way. We rocked up at the reception and managed to get a powered site without any problems. At least the lady on reception was embracing the name of the place as she had a bright orange top on. We just chilled here for the rest of the day. The camp site was okay but the guy in the big camper next door was a bit weird and he kept staring at us. Well I suppose we are a bit strange these days!
