Am completely over Thailand now and not feeling regret for coming here but I am making a promise to myself from now on - if a place doesn't feel right, does not increase your perspectives, does not make you grow as a person then your time should not be sacrificed for such a place. So after taking a sleeping pill I did manage to get a bit of sleep on the half bench seat I had to play with. The train was due to arrive at 8:30am but unfortunately didn't arrive until after 11am making it a very long and tiring 18 hour train ride. Today I decided to get moving again and head back to Chiang Mai and then the following day make my way back to Bangkok. I managed to get a seat on the local bus which was half the price of the minivans however it took twice as long had no aircon and they crammed the thing full of people.
