Today we are off to Phuket and I feel like it is about time to get going again as we have seen and done most of the things Ao Nang had to offer.

Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse this morning and we had thunder and a crazy downfall of rain - so getting to town and dropping our hire bike off became quite the mission. Our bus to Phuket was to leave at 10am and it is now 12pm and we are still waiting - arghhhh gotta love Thai time.
We arrived at Patong Beach at around 4pm and checked in to our hostel - pretty rough in an old Bamboo hut behind actual hostel.

I decided to go for a walk around and check out the stage they were setting up for the big New Years Gig with Basement Jaxx, Pendulum, Akon and others.

First impressions of Phuket are very hectic, incredibly touristic - aimed at tourists with money and probably not the safest place. Also the prices here are double everywhere else but I guess that's because tourists can afford it.

I decided to try get an early nights sleep but unfortunately was attacked by Mosquitos all night and found it near impossible to sleep.
