Today would be my last full day in Pai so I decided to make the absolute most of it by doing almost nothing. I woke up late had breakfast and went for a wonder, I stumbled across this local market setup and was pleasantly surprised by how cheap everything was. I picked up my new favorite snack Khao Tan (Rice Cracker drizzled with sugar cane syrup) for half the price they were selling it for in town. Today I am feeling much better and will try get back to eating normal food, mind you I have rather enjoyed eating rice crackers everyday as they have been so easy on my stomach. I decided to go for a walk to Mor Paeng waterfall which should take around 3-4 hours round trip. Unfortunately I took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up ontop of a mountain where some crafty Thai man was trying to charge my 20 baht for the view - haha I know a charge on a view - incredi...

So today I am feeling much better but still a little weak - I made the decision to hold off on the farm visit and stay put where I was. Although the farm sounded wonderful, was very cheap and appeared to be authentic the timing was not right. Pai is really a place to relax and to be honest there is not a ton of things to do so I will use it for what it is. Today I woke up from one of the worst nights of food poisoning in my life. I felt really drained, lethargic and weak. I went looking for some better Accomodation - my own bathroom etc but unfortunately everything was booked out again. Still feeling affects of the food poisoning I decided to stay put where I was and spend the day doing very little. The nice lady where I was staying made me some warm ginger tea that she explained would ease the pain in my belly. ...

Today I was up at 5:30am to catch the 7am local bus to Pai. I walked to the station and managed to arrive just in time to get a seat. The minibus was rough and they jam packed it with people. I was squished on the backseat with 4 big ladies and a baby and the whole experience was anything but pleasant. What was supposed to take 3 hours ended up taking 5 hours.
