Back In Bogota!! The bus ride didn't get any better and I literally didn't sleep with the freezing aircon, the terribly bumpy road and the constant stopping with people getting on and off. I ate a bunch of snacks hoping they would warm me up but unfortunately had no such luck. At around 6am we arrived in Bogota and I went and asked directions on how to get to the huge mall near to Lizeths house. Everyone informed me to take a taxi but knowing the city and feeling confident I decided to walk to the main avenue and take a bus. This proved much more difficult then I had first thought but luckily after getting on and off one bus I met a nice lady who directed me what bus to catch (seen as I didn't have a bus card). The kind lady boarded the same bus as me and together we crammed onboard with 59 others on what I am sure was a 25 seater bus. Getting off the bus proved even more difficult but politely pushing, shoving and pleading saw me through the mad congestion and out the back doors. It was a short walk to Lizeths house and I was met by her and her wonderful family- her Mother Araminta, her father; Laureano and her sister Monica all of whom spoke a little English. I was served a delicious breakfast with more aqua panella and then shown my deluxe penthouse suite room. I took a super hot shower and then climbed into bed and sleapt the rest of the morning away. Stamina had prepared a wonderful lunch for us all which consisted of a delicious spinach soup, oven baked fish, coriander and avocado salad and baked plantain with melted Boccadillo - a meal certainly fit for a king. I did my best but only managed a little bit of food as my stomach was still not feeling the best - so not to offend I wrapped it up and promised to finish it off in the evening. In the afternoon we went for a drive to a local market and brought some fruits, Boccadillo and other typical Colombian foods. Lizeths family were so kind and really wanted to show me the city and even though I was feeling dreadful with the onset of the flu I said nothing and continued on my interesting sightseeing tour of the city. We visited the biggest mall in Bogota (something I would never do) but I enjoyed it because I was with such nice people and I realized everything they were doing was for me. We returned late and were able to pick Lizeth up from work on our way back to the house. The rest of the evening we sat around chatting and I got to know a little about the lovely Lizeth and her upcoming adventure to Australia - where she will study her Masters in Architecture in a Sydney University.
