Today we finished the Great Ocean Road. We left Pollo Bay and drove along the coast with the sea on one side and the cliffs the other. Once again spectacular scenery! We stopped at Addis Point a rocky outcrop to view the cliffs and bays in the coastline.
The Great Ocean Road was built to commemorate those killed in the first world war and the sign in the photo and the information explains this.
Then it was straight to Melbourne. The skyline is much bigger than Perth or Adelaide and there are a lot more skyscrapers. After booking into the hotel we walked around the city but it was extremely hot and exhausting. It is a very vibrant city with people everywhere night and day.
We took the free tram round the city and saw some of the sights. The trams are great as they are old and clanky and have a real charm.
