made it to india OK! phew. after the beautiful clean and safe dubai, india is a real treat. reminds me a lot of cambodia so far. i find the way things are here refreshing and almost like you are on some poverty stricken movie set. its great! arrived here this morning and got picked up at the airport by the hostel. cows, dogs and mangy cats roam the streets, footless children begging for money and homeless people everywhere. next to that is the average man trying to make a buck. everything is very very dirty though - a man sweeped a pile of poo onto my pants today, so i was a bit upset about that. had my first curry today. sticking to vege cuisine for now and no delhi belly so far fingers crossed.
paul seems ok too, apart from a bit of constipation. tomorrow we head for shimla - a hill town north of delhi. we take a train for 10 hours. it will be exciting! we will see the himilaya ranges from this point hopefully,spending about 10 days north then head south again.
