Currently we are on the way to Waitomo to do some black water rafting and we have spent about 24 hours in Taupo. We arrived there yesterday afternoon, checked in to Base and got dropped off at the Huka Falls. From here we walked back. Took us just under 2 hours which included a stop off at some hot springs on the way.

That evening we cooked a massive Mexican meal between us. Fajitas and nachos. Amazing meal but not cheap. We grabbed some goon and then headed to a bar where there was a live band and the football was on.

Taupo was a nice brief stay. After our day trip in Waitomo we will be back for one more night before heading to Auckland.
