Westport is our destination for today. We arrived at Nelson yesterday about 3.30 but not until we had picked up about 35 people for our bus. We then stopped off on the way at a winery and went for a quick wine tasting followed by a shot tasting session.

Back on the bus and through to Nelson we went. Arrived and headed down to the park for 6 a side game of football. Lost 7-6 but I did score 2!!!!! It's my dangerous pace. Pete was s***.

In the evening we took part in a beer tasting, got a roast at our hostel and then had a few beers. The barmaid was absolutely insane. Bar closed at about half 9 and so we had a game of poker instead of a massive might out. $2 in each and I won!!

This morning the others walked to the centre of New Zealand for sunrise. I stayed in bed for the extra hour sleep. Probably should have gone but really wasn't in the mood in the morning.

Just back on the bus having stopped at Lake Rotoiti in Nelson National Park. We went for a walk around the lake to the meeting point where there was a pier. Some people jumped off into the lake (apparently it was freezing) and some of us just chilled and got pictures. Not long now until we get to Westport.
