River tubbing and bat cave! The Hostel does river tubing excursion that lasts about an hour and a half. You grab a tube jump in the back of a truck and they drive up the river about 3K. It's $6 with a beer included! Sweet! There was about 20 of us in total that ended up going and it was a super awesome time! After we got back a few of us decided to go to the Batcave tonight to watch the bats fly out. We planned on walking but were offered a ride for 5Q straight...

Semuc Champey adventure! Well to sum this day up in one word would be awesome.... The rain had stopped and the sun came out and we all piled in to the back of a half ton with a big cage around it to hold on to. The ride up there alone was pretty breathtaking, that was only the beginning. We were pretty much put straight into the cave after we were all given candles, it didn't take long before I left the guides behind me and I was leading the way! Haha. There we...

Relaxing Rainy Spanish lessons Karen had two friends coming to meet her so we decided to hold off on the Semuc Champey adventure! And we were glad we did because it rained on and off pretty much the whole day. Karen and I practiced our Spanish on each other for a few hours and just relaxed all day! Karen's friends Maddie from Minnesota and Candace from Canada showed up later in the day and we all signed up for the Semuc Champey adventure for the next day.

Off to Lanquin and Semuc Champey El Retiro lodge The ride from Antigua to Lanquin was a pretty long ride but I had a good seatmate, Karen, a fellow Canuck! We decided to split costs and share a room and we ended up getting the nicest cabin on the property! Hammock included!! The Hotel was just amazingly beautiful rite down next to the river which I had to have a swim in before dinner! I just relaxed after dinner, chilled in the hammock and played my guitar.
