We arrived in Goa 3 days ago, after an extremely uncomfortable trip on a sleeper bus (we shared a top bunk measuring about the same as a single bed). We then took a taxi tour (in 3 different taxis) of Goa as everywhere we turned up in was shut due to the rainy season. 4 hours later we arrived at palolem beach which is stunning.

We plan to stay here for a while, if we can put up with people trying to sell us henna patterns, jewellery or taxis every 30 seconds.

We've been in Palolem for just over a week now and have planned the next stage of our journey, well be on the road quite some time until we settle again, so apologies in advance if this blog isn't kept that up to date.

Not really been up to much since we've been here to be honest. Food is great, everything to choose from (including Indian food). We had a whole Red Snapper the other night, which was caught fresh that morning. Our room, although simple is good value for money, Rs 300. So about 4 Pounds between us. We are no more than 6 meters from the beach.

Jon had to visit the Dentist last week due to an abscess, All sorted now and the surgery was extremely clean etc. Very impressed with the service and it has now all cleared up. Treatment cost about 1.5 pounds! Worth coming here just for dental work!
