Sawatdee!!
Well we left Chiang Mai and set off for Pai, it was a 3 hour bus journey in a minivan but it was the windiest road ever. Even Jonny was feeling a little car sick. When we finally arrived there was a massive thunderstorm so finding a hostel in the rain wasn't much fun.
The following day was much better, really hot. We decided to rent a moped again and scoot around and see the sights. First we went to see the Hot Springs. I think we were both expecting a much bigger hot spring, it was a little pool. But it was still good to see, it was 80 degrees in temperature and it stunk of eggs...nice.
After that we spotted a Canyon near by. After a short trek up to the top it was beautiful, the views were amazing. We chilled out on the top for a while taking some snaps of the mountains surrounding us.
We noticed on our map there was a temple at the top of a hill again here, after the one in Chiang Mai being so impressive we decided to take a look. The views again were amazing. As we were walking around the temple Shay got attacked by a dog haha, it started barking and chasing her and of course she did the worst thing possible....run. Luckily it didn't bite her, it had some young pups so maybe it was being a bit over-protective. After that Shay was desperate to leave, as we drove away slowly the dogs started chasing us, Shay was screaming in Jonnys ear hitting him telling him to drive faster, all he could do was laugh.
There was one last thing on the list for the day, to go and see the waterfall. Once we finally found it at the entrance of it there was a German guy in a tye-dye THONG standing there haha. Jonny asked him about the waterfall and turns out it was a 3 hour trek so after a busy day neither of us were very interested and decided to go to a view point above the town to watch the sunset with some fruit. A perfect way to end the day :)
At night we went out for some tea, which turned out to be the worst meal since we have been away. We ordered a starter to share and 2 main courses. An hour after ordering Shay got her main meal.....Jonny got his main meal and then our starter came out....strange. After a few minutes Shay found a bug in her rice, she was not having the best of luck that day.
The following morning we set off on our bus journey to Chiang Rai, one of our last stops in Thailand until July.

Jason Barney That German Hippy in the tye-dye is there all the time and tells everyone its a 3 hour trek. It's really only about a 10 min walk to the falls from where you were.
