There are two loop roads around Yellowstone and today we did the south loop. This includes the geysers with Old Faithful as the main one. At Old Faithful there is an old inn made out of logs. It is several stories high and the largest log building in the world. It was built in 1903 so that may explain why you don't see buildings like it anymore. The loop road follows Yellowstone Lake and follows the Yellowstone Rivr to the falls.

For a change we had a picnic lunch in a bear beware area. I kept my eyes on the surrounding area.
