We are home in Mitcham and this is the day after our ariival. Let me retrace our last day in the US. We drove from Santa Monica to Manhattan and Redondo beaches, walking along the Redondo foreshore and out along the pier. Well here we are at the end of our hoiday, sitting in the airport at LAX waiting for the clock to turn and get on our plane for the long ride home. We caught a tour of Hollywood today. We could have driven ourselves but we have found that knowing where to look for things is more than having an address. Its where to be for a particular view, or where to go for easy parking etc. The tour took us to the place in Mullholland drive where we could see the Hollywood sign, a few stars homes, overlook the Hollywood Bowl and view the town layout all from the one lookout. Another two days being rolled into one update. We spent yesterday at Universal Studios. We bought tickets that jumped us to the head of queues so we only had to wait for shows to start and then go in. Also no waiting for rides. We started with the studio tour which gave us a view of the backlot street props and scenes. Forgive the pun that follows - Todays entry covers yesterday and today - but yesterday was 'to Morro'. We departed Monterey yesterday and our first point of interest was Carmel by the sea.
