The day began like any other ,it was raining ,it was cool and it was moving day. We had just spent Five days with a good friend and her family . We leave Daniel's at 7:30am to catch the fast train to Geneva airport. We boarded the plane then sat for an hour as a big storm was raging in London and take off or landing was to unsafe . Eventually it was all go and within the blink of and eye where there.
We arrived around 3.30pm ,found our way out of the airport jumped in the world famous Black Cab ,and straight to our B&B in the town made famous in the film Notting Hill. . It is a good B&B,close to shops and across the road there is a pub so we go there to maintain the tradition ,have fish and chips ,then wonder the streets as any tourist would. Who would think that Shirley and I would be standing in Notting Hill right in front of the book shop from the movie
Tomorrow we are of to try our luck using the transport system of London as we are lunching at Gordon Ramsay's Michelin Star restaurant ,excited.
ok that's it for now ,hopefully tomorrow's luncheon date lives up to the hype. Tell you more later .
Good night see you all tomorrow

Bob Campbell When we were there in 78, we stayed at Notting Hill Gate and when I got back to work at Qantas, all my pommy mates told me that was a bad and rough area. We had no idea. Have fun John and Shirley. ❤
