It's our last day in Salzburg and we are off to the old part of town . Shirley has memories here from 34 years ago when her mother and, brother were with her .
The cobble stone streets have not changed but the amount of people walking them has. As soon as we walk through the arch that takes us in we are surround by tourist groups are trying to get to same places before the other. There are tunnel walk area the work like a snakes and ladder game ,walk this and end up three streets away ,easy to get lost.we walk around for near on 2hrs , and it now food time , we choose Nordsee which is like Kentucky but with Sea food . We wonder bit more then off to find the Minorette Theatre, This is one of the best half an hour I've spent in my life . We all know the story of Pinocchio, well I saw many of these minorette come to life in that half hour .The people who work them are amazing the way they work each minorette to the music of Mozarts' The Magic Flute and the Sound Of Music. This is a must for me ,something one will never forget.
We spotted this little pub called The Darwin ,so we are going back for a pre dinner drink or two ,then right next to where we're staying is an Indian restaurant rated in the top 10 in Salzburg ,we have been getting the aroma every night so it finally drag us in . It was by far the best meal we have had in Salzburg. Off to Switzerland tomorrow .
love you all
Shirley & John
