We in this blog is the tales of 2 days . We leave Killaney and travel to Kilkenny from here to Dublin and that is the end of one of the best tours Shirley and have been on.
Our morning drive takes us through the heart of North Cork. This sweeping drive will introduce you to the natural features that gave The Golden Vale its evocative name. It take us from the level pasturelands of the north to the foot of the highest inland mountain, Galtymore (3,015ft) by Griston Bog, we pass through the picturesque countryside arriving at the medieval town of Cahir.
Cahir Castle, on the river tSuir, is one of Ireland's largest and best-preserved medieval castles. It has featured in productions like Excalibur and The Tudors.

We had some free time in Kilkenny to explore the medieval mile, craft studios, cafés and numerous quaint independent shops.
Cross the wilderness of Wicklow Mountains National Park.We then visit what for many was the highlight of the tour - Glendalough. The Glendalough monastery was founded in the 6th century, but most of the buildings there today date from the late 10th century to the 12th century.
The round tower and the Cathedral are particularly impressive. The setting is what makes this monastic site stand out above all others and we had an hour and a half to explore the surrounding area, breath-taking views and the lakes.
We finished our tour in Dublin between 5-6 pm
