Hi,
A new day , mean place to explore and the first place is Heroes Square , we left earlier to beat the heat as it has been in the High 30s . It a fair walk and about half wat I walk into a shop ask where this place ,he told me and then said you caught a bus. We eventually got and we were b*****ed The Square is noted for its iconic Millennium Monumentwith the statues of the 7 chieftains of the Magyar and other National leaders,as well as the memorial stones of Hero's often referred as the Tomb of the unknown soldier.
Evening journey take us deep into the east and we a looking for a small Jazz cafe called Jedermann
. We are final learning the trams and it gets us within a couple of blocks from our target. We arrive about half an hour before the scheduled start time ,we walk in every table is block , we are think that we won't be able to stay but staff were very help and made a space for us.
Performing tonight was a Five piece band ,volin,double base,acoustic guitars and a piano accordion and they were excellent! We spent a couple of hrs there but left to be sure we could actually get a tram back to the west end .
All in all we have walked 9 k and it didn't take long to go to bed ,even though this is the hardest bed Shirley has ever slept on.
I am putting the last day which Sunday on here as we only had a beautiful lunch then went to a ruin bar , you kids would have loved it .Music wine beer spirits their all there and the vib fantastic,young and old enjoying this space .
