Albany W.A. Weds. The car past its service with flying colours and at about a 1/3 of the price we pay in Redcliffe so when we get back changes will be made.It was a cloudy, windy morning and we didn't mind staying around the van.Later the weather improved and we went again to the area where Whale World is and it was very rewarding. Awesome cliffs and beautiful beaches including the Gap, Natural Bridge and Salmon Holes which is a beach where salmon come in really close to rest and respite from their predators the problem then is the line of fishermen waiting for them.We missed the blowholes because thankfully at the beginning of the walk along the cliffs there is a notice board saying it is a 600m walk and 74 stairs down and they only blow occasionally when the sea is very rough.Denmark? and the tree top walk at WalpoleThat's right Denmark in W.A. a pleasant little town worthy of a lunch stop unfortunately it was cool and spotting rain so we didn't see it at its best. The tree top walk near Walpole is the main attraction. The area is famous for its ancient, tall trees and somehow without using helicopters or cranes they have constructed a steel walk and platforms in the tree tops 600 metres long and 40 metres high. Not for the faint hearted or after a big lunch as it does bounce about a bit.Tomorrow we move on calling at Pemberton where there is a large tree which can be climbed. Our Granddaughter Emilie has climbed it so of course Grandad has to do it.Grandma will stay at the bottom videoing and holding his money and the car keys.
