Salvador is a major Brazillian tourist destination mainly for it's musical roots and hosts the most revered Carnival in the land. After a not terribly luxurious bus journey from Campo Grande we arrived bleary eyed at 5am on the Brazilian side of the border of the Iguazu falls. DAY 1 After a 21 hour bus ride from Rio (not as bad as it sounds) we boarded another bus for a further 4 hour journey followed by a 3 1/2 hour trip on a 4 wheel drive truck (very bumpy!) to our camp.
