We left Queenstown this morning to drive south to Invercargill on the bottom on NZ's South Island. We have watched the movie The World's Fastest Indian a number of times and went to E. Hayes Hardware Store where Bert Munro's Motorbike that he raced on Bonnieville's salt flats is displayed. The hardware is and eclectic mix of operating hardware, camping, gift shop and museum of motorbikes. It was well worth the drive!
Our day continued with another few hours of driving to Manapouri which is on the edge of the Fiordland area of the South Island. We'll be here for a few days exploring the sights.
