Hi Everyone,

On Tuesday Grant and I went to a little mall just down the street from us (horrible not being able to buy stuff). The guy that runs the guesthouse managed to get his friend to get us two tickets for the carnival. You need tickets to see the main parade. We got them for Sunday and they are in a really good section to sit in.

We then visited Corcovado (Statue of Christ). It takes around half an hour on the wee train to get you to the top, so you can imagine how high up it is. There are some gorgeous views from the top. We then got the subway home in the rush hour, and this is more than a little crazy here, needless to say we won´t be doing it again!

Yesterday we spent the day at the famous Copacabana beach! It wsa a gorgeous day and the beach is lovely and clean. We stopped and had some dinner before we made our way home again.
