23rd March had a coach ride to Hanlong Bay, to board our overnight boat and it was lovely we had a very nice cabin with shower room/toilet. It's a beautiful place with 2,000 islands but busy with 1,000s of very noisy Chinese tourists (they drink to much) after dropping anchor we took a smaller boat around some of the islands and a beach with 450 steps to the top of the rock with stunning views but no sun to see settling (shame). Next morning, walked through a huge cave with spectacular rock formations before sailing back to the dock, the boat was excellent with good crew and great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coach back to Hanoi to catch the overnight train to Hue, we shared a four berth cabin with another couple on our tour it was very civilised with four cans of beer waiting in our cabin (great) but not a very good nights sleep. Afternoon we visited the Royal Citadel, Tien Mu Pagoda and a Royal tomb. Ga's not a happy bunny she's got a cold so a very nice nurse from Canada supplied potions and pills to give her some relief (bless her). J & G
