Spent Friday 10th flying to Bangkok for the start of our tour. Saturday explored some of the cities rivers and canals by long boat, then another temple and after some of us went to the Grand Place, which because the King had died and was lying in state for his citizens to visit (until December this year) some parts were closed, shame because it's a beautiful place. Overnight train to Chiangmai, it was spotlessly clean and very well run I had the top bunk. Sunday12th. Well we're in Thailand and the tour guide recommends a Cabaret Show after a Temple and cookery class, so off we go, anyway as the first song finishes this gorgeous Thai girl sits on my lap and gives me a kiss on the lips, later I give another singer a high five with my right hand as she grabs my tackle with her left. I was loving it, only to find out they're Ladyboys (but they were bloody good looking honestly) it was great fun, they also picked on a young (well built) Aussie lad!!! His Girlfriend thought it was great "all done in the best possible taste" as Kenny Everet would say. J & G
