We bought biscuits (cookies to our very nice Canadian friends) for the children living in the remote villages on the trek in the hills (about 7 miles) they live a very simple life growing crops to sell and support their families. Great scenery with spectacular views towards the Thia boarder, had an interesting lunch (with a beer) before the truck ride back to the hotel. 28th a drive across the hills of sesame and corn fields and on to Pindaya caves that have thousands of Buddha statues quite a sight. Then onto Nyaungshwe the gateway to Inle Lake. That afternoon we visited a vineyard (winery) it was ok but not to European standards or even Canadian!!!! But great sunset and even better company.
