So we woke up after a nosiy night in the hostel at midday due to jet lag I had trouble getting to sleep to start with even though i was tired and it didnt help that we could hear our neighbours conversation in full. But never mind, i didnt tell you about our room as we:re staying in the annex of the hostel but even then we:re in another extra bit which has 5 rooms (all doubles i think) which has its own little kitchen area, shower, sinks and toilets, so thats quite nice.

So anyway once we got up we wandered into Asukusu (the part of Tokyo we are staying in) and whilkst we were looking for somewhere to eat we came across the big temple in asukusu so we had a look around there and there was loads of incense burning and people praying and apparently a big 3 day festival starts there tomorrow.

After we had wandered round and been in the tourist information centre (but apparently they only deal with the asukusu area. As we were still hungry and hadnt eaten yet we went into a cafe type place to have a look and before we knew it we;d been handed a hot towel and a glass of iced water so we had to get something to eat there then. Eventually we ordered what we thought were sandwiches and luckily vic got an egg and salad sarnie and i got a cheese and ham toastie, i think it is really difficult to understand anything here so god only knows what we:ll end up ordering for dinner tonight!!

It doesnt seem that expensive here (except phone calls so sorry mum and dad wont be ringing again!!) but to us on our strict budgets it may be a struggle but im sure once we`ve been to thailand it will all equal out.

I cant seem to upload any pics on here yet but i:ll try and find our how to hopefully this week.

Anyway Im trying to find us accomodation for Hong Kong next week now. so I:ll let you all get back to work you skivers!!
