Today (Monday) we arrived at 'Wongaling' near 'Mission Beach' after a 3h bus journey from 'Townsville'. Our hostel "Mission Beach Resort Lodge" picked us up from the bus station and we managed to get a queen room for $40 a night between the 3 of us! Today (Saturday) we arrived in "Townsville" on the Greyhound and then took the $17 ferry to 'Magnetic Island'. We arrived at the island at 6pm and checked into "Arkies" backpacker hostel in "Arcadia resort"- paying $20 for 2 nights!! They are very basic dorm rooms, although they do have en-suite.
