A prompt start to sail to Leixoes which is the big port next to Porto. It was foggy all day and we needed the radar to avoid fishing boats and other yachts without AIS. Fog is very disorienting, their are no roads to follow and it would be easy to go round in circles without the chart plotter. In the evening we took the tram into Porto which a a lovely city with grand buildings and good restaurants. Eating out is cheap and good value in Portugal. We got back to Javelin at 11:30 ready for a 4am start the next morning.
