I'm sitting on the ferry heading towards au nang, krabi.
Phi phi is an awesome little island and we found our first taste of paradise. The two bays of the island are a fifteen minute walk from end to end of each other. And yet walking to the ferry we found an area we hadnt explored.
The last two nights have been an eye opener, with dani getting her first tattoo and some one willing to pay dani for me. That wasn't fun and HIS exact words were " I pay you 2000 baht to f*** your monster "
Hmmm no thanks matey!! If that would of happened back home I would of knocked him out, this fella named Jonny had sat with us for two hours sharing buckets and showing us his tricks( which were at the time impressive!!) but as he was a Japanese gok wan lookalike poi performer for the bar we were drinking in I took it as a compliment!!
Dani's tattoo was great to watch, the artists concentration was immense and using traditional Thai bamboo technique. It took two and a half hours to do and the pain didn't seem half as bad as a normal machine tattoo.
The food was great on the island but very expensive compared to mainland, in fact everything was more expensive, we were paying 90p for a can of coke and 1 pound forty for a beer compared to a pound which we were previously paying.
Our resort was nice, friendly and clean but the climb up the mountain to reach it wasn't. Arboreal served its purpose and we would defenintly visit again, my highlight of this resort was wakening up to the sound of monkeys playing on our balcony. We drew back the curtains and it was like they were visiting the zoo an we were within the enclosure! The pain of the window was condensated their side rubbing it with their hands to get a better view of us! It was truly a magical moment.
Well as we depart I wave good bye to phi phi, but welcome krabi...
Feeling slightly saddened that this is the last part of our honeymoon.
